After reading your blog post before this one, I can imagine how difficult it probably was for you to ignore what you know about interior design and give it a definition based solely on others' surface level of knowledge. Like you said, there are interior design shows that are changing the public's knowledge of this profession, but it seems to me that for the most part, people are still confusing interior design with decorating a room. I would be too if I didn't have friends in the department. I don't know what kind of design you're planning on pursuing, but I have a friend who is interested in set design. This, as well as other areas (like hotel, restaurant, etc) I had never even considered. I thought mainly of residential. It may be helpful if you could find clips based on these more diverse areas (outside of houses). HGTV maybe? :)
